The Con Science and Other Perspectives

(Prem’s World - Volume -1)

It is heartening to announce that ‘Prem’s World’ has become popular within all those to whom I have been directly broadcasting the link of the Blog, and thereafter it spread by word of mouth and forwarded by friends and associates to their own contacts. Many in India and overseas that are outside my contact list have directly subscribed. One most unique feature is that the comments or responses on the Blogs have been homogenous or synonymous, only with a slight degree in appreciation or observation; but none controversial. I have succeeded in reaching the orbit of my objective, which is to conceive a Blog that is fit to be universally acceptable. It may not be the best, but good to read for a straight 8 to 10 minutes.

I have to thank 3 most important people who have been instrumental in making the Blog successful. Firstly, I have to thank Ashwin Sivakumar and Venus Kumar of M/s.Jugular Social Media who had designed the Blog in a simple and ambient manner. Secondly, I have to thank Ravinder Reddy of Ravi Studios the recipient of the National Tourism Award in the year 2012 from President Pratibha Devi; who did the photoshoot of my portrait photographs for the Blog. And finally I have to thank my friend Sarma who encouraged me to pursue my writing skills during the Covid Lockdown. I am indebted to them.

In this connection I should confess that out of about 450 odd contacts saved in my Mobile, I have broadcasted initially to 197, but slowly over a period of 4 months have reduced to only about 90. I have done the downsizing intentionally with a view to reach only those who were showing interest to read. I was content with the responses I was getting for each Blog but Ashwin Sivakumar, the CEO of ‘Jugular Social Media’ who read each and every Blog on every Sunday felt that the Blogs had most intriguing contents with a different style in expression. He felt that the Blogs should reach farther to millions of Readers, hence he had been constantly pursuing me with strategies for making it more popular. I was clueless, as I could spare only an hour or two at home after returning from my office in the evenings. My whole focus is on the improvisation of my draft.

It so happened that with Ashwin’s suggestion we began posting in the Facebook first, then an amazing thing happened. Ashwin carefully positioned the ‘The Con Science’ and the ‘Star of the Celestial Symphony’ one after one from 26th January. Shockingly, within 4 days until 31st January 2021, there were 32,929 likes. This was mind boggling to me. Apparently both Ravinder Reddy and Sarma also felt that these blogs should reach as many people as possible especially when read the ‘Price of Living Dangerously’ series.

Then the final surprise came. Ashwin forwarded my profile and the link of ‘Prem’s World’ to a famous publisher, and they were swooned by going through some articles. Within hours they contacted me and the agreement was entered the next day. The plan to publish the ‘Prem’s World Volume-1’ with the title ‘The Con Science and Other Perspectives’ was concluded within no time. The 1st Volume contents are the 17 Blogs from ‘The Con Science’ until ‘Price of Living Dangerously - Part-III’ clubbed with the 2011 episodes of ‘The Gates of Heaven’.

The ‘Stoics and Epicureans’ shall be the 1st Chapter in Prem’s World Volume-II’ along with those Blogs that would be posted in the coming 4 to 5 months, containing mostly about great entrepreneurs among us. This is a great moment for me, and I wanted to share this amazing news with you all Readers. Without your encouragement to ‘keep writing’ I would have not had this continuing passion.
